ARTESPACIO Gallery was founded in 1995. Its directors, María Elena Comandari and Rosita Lira, have aimed to disseminate, promote and commercialize Chilean and foreign contemporary artists, encouraging the collection and circulation of art.
Through more than 350 exhibitions and special projects, they have promoted artists from diverse backgrounds and techniques, promoting new markets and audiences, together with the collaboration of curators, critics, collectors and media. In their vast management they have advised public and private institutions in the creation of art halls, sculptural parks, murals, publishing projects and international exhibitions, including: Jesús Rafael Soto, Henri Matisse, Niki de Saint Phalle, Joaquín Sorolla, Roberto Matta and Fernando Casasempere.
Its annual program considers individual and collective exhibitions, traveling exhibitions, competitions, sculpture symposium and conversations. Seeking to internationalize the career of national and foreign artists, he regularly participates in prestigious fairs, such as Art Miami, ARCO, ArteBA, Pinta Miami and Art Lima, among others.
Artespacio Gallery is a member of AGAC, Association of Galleries of Contemporary Art of Chile, and is sponsored by SÍSMICA, a sector brand for Chilean visual arts, and ProChile.
